The Meowmers hates mahna mahna!

I passed both my SOA exams, which is two more than I expected to pass. I kept checking the website to make sure I wasn't misreading my candidate number or to make sure it wasn't a list of failed candidates. It still doesn't quite feel real. I should get the confirmation letters in the mail tomorrow, which hopefully will remove this voice in the back of my head telling me someone in some SOA HQ office somewhere made a mistake.

So I've had some time to think about things, and I think I've discovered some very important things about myself and life in general. So here's what I've been thinking:
I don't think there is any food that would be less appealing with apples in it. I think apples, be they cubed, dried, sliced, sauce, whatever, actually improve just about anything you could eat.

well i'm done with summer school.. now i just have to see if the professor approves of the research paper i wrote in one day using like 7 cds and a book about the beatles as my "resources." Hell yeah "discussing the effect of the blues on black Americans and race relations in the United States" blah blah blah. It's been a while since I've let out such an inredible stream of bullshit and adjective after adjective to reach the 2,000 word requirement.

so i guess i finally get to start relaxing. Here's what I'm happy/excited/impatient about:

-I got a new deep fryer and am going to make pork chops tomorrow.
-I'm going to attemp to make babka tomorrow.
-Finding out how well my paper went over in the near future.
-willie nelson's picnic with BOB DYLAN on the 4th of july
-SOA exam results on the 8th of july, as well as leaving for south padre.
-Pinetop Perkins at blues on the green the wednesday before i leave for the beach. people should come and hear some awesome 90-something-year-old-guy blues. He played piano with muddy waters, so you ought to understand he is awesome.
-getting paid on friday. I've got like 11 bucks now.
-I'd like to see batman again sometime. i thought it was pretty awesome, but now emo boys make me a little nervous.
-Austin City Limits. Black Crowes, Allman Brothers, Lyle Lovett, etc, etc, etc.
-I got two more Chuck Palahniuk books to read
-I plan on making an awesome turkey/bacon/avocado sandwich tomorrow for lunch and potentially every day until i run out of one of those things, then the sandwich makeup will have to be altered slightly.

I talked to the night guard guy at my building for a few minutes about music. He listens to heavy metal and jazz. Yesterday he brought 10 cds for me to listen to because he thought i'd like them. He is pretty awesome.

Tonight I saw Bewitched, but more importantly, marla brought me to the Alamo Drafthouse for the first time ever. I do like food and movies, but usually I like to see my food. It was cool though, they have wonderful chocolate cake served with Amy's ice cream. pretty awesome.

if anyone wants to hang out with me i might be able to scrape up some time, but i do have a very busy schedule lately. okay, that's not true. I haven't done much this summer and haven't seen anyone besides cameron's party and some of marla's friends came over and watched batman.

I don't really know what to do with myself without school, and i work early and stay up late so i'm tired a lot. I find that I mostly fill the empty space where studying used to live with food. I've been thinking about food a lot lately. I really enjoy food. I've also sort of taken up mountain biking again. Last time i put a neat little gash in my arm that just now starting to heal up.

marla is a genius, and the captain is awe-inspiring
